Most likely with the M4 or the M16(can't really tell from the picture or maybe its the glare from the sun right now) she is part of a special operations unit in Mexico. I wouldn't say drug smuggling, cause there are very few women in that department, but I'd venture a guess she is part of homicide or kidnapping department, mostly on how she is not in a uniform. With that also, I would guess she is a detective in the Policia, but doesn't do any undercover work. I guess that cause it seems like she has a wedding ring on her hand or it looks like one. She seems also to be the right age for a newer detective, but I am sure her male coworkers had a tougher time trying to rise up in the ranks.

The Mexican police force has been very serious business the past couple of years thanks to the drug cartel issues.
