I'm not sure why uploading videos from my iPad always takes forever....and have a tendency to fuck up. It's supposed to be what the iPad is for....
But! Finally here is the Vlog. I think if you live in Hawaii it's still on time.

End of March?!
ReplyDeleteI do agree that Heroes should be tied strongly to their parent, even Demigods. But at God, they need to have diverged and stepped into their own Legend instead of just being a shadow of their parent. Instead of being Tim, Son of Thor, a Scion-God should now be Tim, God of Explosions! The dynamic shifts drastically at God.
ReplyDeleteI know that specifically my players were 'a bit miffed' when they hit God and I took away all their Associations and Favored Abilities that had been granted by their parents and made them now stand on their own and rely on only the two free Associations granted by Legend 9. I made them suck it up and pointed out they got an absolute *buttload* of free stuff at Godhood and they're getting plenty of XP.
Still, it'd be nice if there was a way to move gradually from Hero, where you're totally seen as a child, and rely heavily on your parent's Legend for your inspiration and powers, up to God where you're an 'adult' and now have to determine your own Legend and don't get that parental support.
I think you were looking for "Anne Frank" and "Reinvent the Wheel"
ReplyDeleteBy the way, you guys... this is the unexpurgated "vlog outtakes" version if you want to see it. Features 45% more swearing and interference from cats.
ReplyDeleteMight I recommend Death for another nuclear themed Purview choice? It's working well for me (though that particular character is working on becoming a god fiery death and destruction, he still has a strong nuclear element).
ReplyDeleteI agree! Rotting imagery could go along with the degradation/radiation poisoning idea very well.
DeleteAnne of Green Gables, the story of a young and down to earth Jewish girl hiding in the attic.
