What happened in your game to make Hera hate Oshun? Or is it what Oshun represents that makes Hera hate her?
Hera and Oshun are kinda polar opposites when it comes to queenly rule. Hera is very much a one man lady. And she expects(but doesnt get) Zeus' eternal fidelity. Oshun is kinda the opposite of that. Her existence almost spits in the face of everything Hera stands for. She is ok with her husband being married to other ladies, and shes having sex with and even marrying all the other dudes. On some level, Hera probably thinks Oshuns very existence leads men towards unfaithfulness. She also doesnt want Zeus getting any ideas about multiple wives.

Hmmm...Hera must royally lose her shit at the whole 'Shiva is married to three Goddesses but still totally monogamous' thing :)
ReplyDeleteI feel like people probably avoid confronting Hera with polygamy. It's not worth the hassle.

DeleteAlso, while the three are the same being in Hindu philosophy, they are three separate, distinct beings as far as Scion is concerned, and as far as Hera can see; the whole 'my culture thinks they're really the same woman' argument is as unlikely to hold water with her as the whole 'my culture allows polygamy' argument that Oshun can pull.
Hey, those arguments probably hold more water and weight than 'Well they are my property and I'll do with them as I wish.' Philosophy that some culture adopted towards women. See that a little with the Greeks too. lol
