Ptah and Sekhmet: marrital bliss

So, Ptah and Sekmeht. Whats up with them? They a happy couple or is it merely a duty to him or...what?

They might be pretty happy. I mean, they both have positive aspects about themselves. Id say they're probably as happy as most ancient couples. Ptah gets a hot sexy lady who is probably a lion in the sack, and sekhmet gets...you know a dude that marries her and....ancient cultures suck, Im sorry. But ptah seems like a pretty cool dude, like she isnt married to set or worse....khepri.

  1. Sekhmet gets the prestige of marrying one of the eldest most powerful gods of the pantheon. Don't forget that she fell in love with him when she woke up in a drunken stupor, and probably still loves him, maybe for his ability to keep her calm or his good judgement and sensible nature. To me it seems like the switching of male female roles. She is the aggressive dominant partner, and he is the passive, somewhat submissive partner that needs good sense, patience (and a strong leash) to try to keep the aggressive partner in check rather than force. Finally, how much epic appearance does sekhmet have?

    1. Probably middling high, sevenish, I would guess? She probably usually appears as scary, given her rep, but I'm sure she does the Sangria thing and nices it up for the hubby.

  2. Ptah has all the Charisma, never, ah, tires, and must seem pretty perceptive of anything wifey wants or needs.

Plus, any guy can get you a diamond ring, but can yours make you a Diamond ring with Industry 11 that can turn rivers to booze, summon the majesty of the cosmos and play your favourite theme music whenever you damn want and can probably transform into a Sword of Limitless Smiting and Doom whever you tap your heels and whistle dixie?

    I think not.

Add this to Ultimate Charisma and Intelligence means that he's the Ultimate Party Planner for the Ultimate Party - always, and you've got a pretty sweet life.

And if anyone harshes Ptah's buzz, he rest calm in the certainty that his wild-cat woman will wipe the sucker off the f***ing map.

    Sweet life.

    1. Man, this sounds idyllic. I don't know what Geoff is always complaining about!

  3. Probably because Ptah's wife is also probably pretty smart and charismatic when she want's to be and is in a good mood. Poor Geoff is living with what amounts to a schizophrenic house pet that likes to bring him bloody mutilated corpses as gifts.

    1. smart and charismatic? What? Shes a lion monster. Good mood? Do you assume that cause she can get drunk? Her favorite thing is murdering millions and he wont let her do that.

    2. Yeah, I'd assume she doesn't have much in the way of either Int or Char. There's no reason for her to; she never does those things in mythology, and being a ravening berserker who tries to genocide the world is a pretty strong case against.

  4. what about the belief that she has a mother figure side?

    1. Im not sure what you mean by "what about". She is a mother, but what do you mean by this?

    2. Doesn't necessarily mean she has much in the way of nice person qualities. Eztli's a mother goddess, too, and she is frankly not fun to be around. So are folks like Kali.

I could see her having good days and bad days, but she's probably not much of a picnic when it comes to personality or smarts.
