ARGH.

Today, I wrote a massive post about the Aesir in one of their underappreciated Danish mythology appearances, and it took me about three hours, and it was fucking awesome and witty and exciting and full of relevant thoughts and storytelling suggestions, and I was super proud of myself. AND THEN THE BLOG ATE IT AND IT'S GONE FOREVER, SO I'M PRETTY SURE I WILL NEVER WRITE AGAIN.

So, to console both you and me, here's some excellent new art instead. This is Seif, a brand-new character in the Gangs of New York game, looking like the shining solar badass he is.

Art by Julian Lancaster!

I'm going to go eat some cupcakes and cry now or something. I'll get back on the horse tomorrow.

  1. BAD BLOG!!!

Do not cry! We are all confident you can write an even more awesome piece about this subject. But that shouldn't stop you from eating some cupcakes if you want.

  2. I've heard of a browser addon called Lazarus for Firefox that saves all your forms, like facebook/blog/forum posts automatically so you never lose them! Maybe look into it? I don't use it, but it seems like a cool idea.

    1. And if Lazarus isn't your thing:
I started copypasting everything into a text before clicking *submit*
      Hope it helps.

  4. I learned a long time ago that you write everything in Pages / Wordpad first. Then you just copy/paste whatever you wrote into the blog or forum of your choice.

    1. It's not even that - I'd actually already finished it and scheduled it to post, with no problems. Then, logged back in later... draft was still there, but empty. Argh.

So yes, the moral is save everything more.

  5. Cupcakes have magical powers. Obviously, Loki didn't want your post to see the light of day - you must consume extra icing and banish him with sugary goodness. :-)

    1. I was even being kind of nice to him in it, the rat.

  6. Can I ask, what was the question? I, as a Dane myself, have grown up with those stories so I must say that I'm a bit intrigued.

    1. It was an in-depth look at the Norse/Germanic myths preserved by Saxo Grammaticus in his Gesta Danorum, particularly the saga of Baldur and Hod hatin' on one another. I'll rewrite it, it was just very disheartening to realize it was gone. :)

  7. Why there is the Thunder purview on Seif's sheet? Where is Sky? Is part of the boons overview??

    1. It is. :) Our players get to be guinea pigs when we finish things, so they're sometimes using things before we've finished cleaning them up to release on the site.

We won't be releasing that particular change this weekend, but I believe we will be releasing something!
