Voting: The Scion Pastime

The polls are in. Actually, they're in late, because we checked at exactly 24 hours after our announcement yesterday and it was a dead heat. We had to wait an extra six minutes for a tie-breaker vote.

...which is why our next project will be an overhaul of the Industry purview! Thomas, your voodoo magics worked!

We have some ideas about future projects, but before we put up another voting poll, we thought we'd check in with you guys. We're in a slight lull with only a few big projects on the horizon; what things would you like to see happen around here? What options should be on the voting for this time around?

Let us know in the comments! We won't promise everything makes it on there, but it helps us to know what you guys are looking forward to.

Incidentally, John would like to remind everyone not to cheat on the polls because it makes him the saddest panda and he worries about the honest voters among us getting shafted. This is the only pool we've got; play nice in it, you guys.

And now, John and I are off to learn to be mechanics.

  1. Naturally I would love to see the Amatsukami back on the poll. Along with the Enech Overhaul. I'm all about getting the material in the books sorted out.

But something else occurred to me. Could you put the Changelog on the poll?

I think it would be neat to have the option where you guys make us search your entire website for any error, rules question, or strange wording. Then it gets fixed! Basically a week or two dedicated to nothing but bug hunting.

    1. Neat! I have a few stashed away from past times people have pointed out rough patches, but that could be a lot of fun (not to mention productive)!

    2. I am all for a two weeks of cooperative bughunting.
Sounds like fun, and we can give something back for all your hard work.

    3. I like the idea of a 2 week bug hunting game before working on the next thing at some point.

  2. Personally, I'd love to see the option for new Titanrealms up again. Also, I know John is currently allergic to PSPs, but I think the Enech overhaul is long overdue.

After that, my choice would be overhauls to the far east pantheons, the Kami and the Shen.

And somewhere in my heart of hearts is the hope that you guys will add the Elohim to the site some day.

  3. Well, for me I'd like the Elohim to be put up on here, Amatsukami reworked, more boons for purviews and I'd like a voting block dedicated to see if people want sky to become split into two purviews or kept in one. Personally, I'd like it to become 2. Then more titans and titanrealms. Last thing for me is Ultimates and Avatars. The Shen and honestly, the Amatsukami need to be fixed, but they are on the lower end of what I want done. The Elohim are in the middle. lol.

    1. The Elohim are found in the Download section as a .pdf,
and while the .pdf does not feature myths of the individual gods this much, it does feature sample relics, sample Scions and the relationship to other Pantheons.

    2. I understand that the .pdf is on their website, but I'd like to see them transfer the .pdf over to their website, where they scrutinize and fine tune it to fit their system, which I like a hell of a lot better then scion vanilla.

  4. More Titanrealms, really.
    Those are so damn useful.

  5. Yeah, Industry!

For next time 'round, I'd love to see Enech get overhauled. Or some revamped Elemental purviews. Eventually some working Amatsukami might be fun, but no sweat if it takes many moons. I'd rather see you guys recharged and working on something you can get pumped up for in the near future :)

    1. Enech will definitely be on there, it's already on the list. :)

  6. Amatsukami, so badly. :(

Though I'm also on the side of the people wanting to put Elohim on the site.

    1. My bad, I've been away so I didn't see the PSA from John on the Orisha post (seen the Orisha, super awesome, but I haven't had time to check the blog really) about 'no Japan please I'm tired.' It sucks because most of the projects I want to see done are the Pantheons refurbished, so I might still sit out on this one. Industry revamped should be cool. I never want to see Sky ripped apart (never. I will vote for every other project in order to divert attention from Sky getting ripped apart.)

Oh, I know something that might be cool! More Playable Gods, maybe, except 9 or 10 or 11 like Idun or Vidar, or maybe Legend 12 Gods you've overlooked like Pan? Just a thought.

    2. You nihon-ophile!

Most people love the pantheons(not sure why, I find other stuff much more useful for my games), but I figure we'll get to them eventually. Probably Japan will still be by the time I thought it would be(july), cause I'll do it faster and with more love cuase I had a break.

    3. Why the strong feelings about Sky staying one purview, if you don't mind my asking?

  7. If you're brave enough to tackle another PSP next, I'd love to see what you could do with Enech. (I've got zero interest in Amatsukami, but I know a lot of folks do, so I guess that could be okay.)

Otherwise, the 1850s Steampunk setting has been a lot of fun to play, so that might be neat to share with everyone else. And it might be more fun/less stressful than some of the other tasks.

    1. I'm with you on the 1850's Steampunk. I miss Kebo...

  8. I know this is probably not high on everyone's wishlist, but I'm very intrigued by your Fatebonds system and would like to see it, if not entirely reworked, revised/rewritten for clarity at the very least.

I've seen you guys say that it needs a mechanical slimdown to be less of a chore, and I personally would love to see that happen!

My second and third options are Enech and Taiyi, because they are broken as fuck.

And finally, the Avatars/Ultimates overhaul should definitely still be a thing! The players on my table cringe every time The Wyrd comes up... luckily we still have a long way to go til Legend 12.

    1. I second the motion that I'd like to see a comprehensive (maybe pdf?) view of your Fatebond system.

And aftert that: Boon changelog and Avatar/Ults...
The changelog has to be tackled someday,
and doesn't sound as stressing as rewriting Pantheons.

Avatars and Ults mainly because it does sound like you will soonish need it in your own groups,
and you shouldn't neglect your players for us :)

    2. Yeah....I should probably get on that.

  9. Personally, I would love to see more overhauls of pantheons, but I understand that it takes a lot of work for you guys, and John doesn't want to do it back to back, also it would be unfair to Anne, if it makes John crankier (crankiest?).

In any case, what i would love to see next is either an overhaul of the elemental pantheons, or just go wild with your Boon changelog, and maybe adding in new Boons.

    1. Ultimate Crankiness. Thanks for all the suggestions, you guys are super helpful!

  10. Go on vacation! (Can that be a poll option?) Take a week off to play StarCraft or something. Whatever you have to do to not get burned out. ;)

    1. Vacations make Anne frantic. She hates them.

    2. Pfft, vacations are for people who don't have things to get done. And also can afford to go on vacation.

  11. Ok, I swear the number of votes on the pantheons poll keeps decreasing. Is it even possible to delete your vote?

    ReplyDelete

    1. It's not possible to delete, only to move. Actually, it looks like there are 11 more votes total than there were yesterday.

      Delete
    2. We are both seeing 311 votes right? Cuz I swear there were 312 this morning.

      Delete
    3. I see 312? I don't know of any way to remove your vote. Even if you clear all your cache and stuff, the previous vote is still logged.

Unless Blogger's polls are broken again, like that time they all said they had one vote. But it doesn't look like that.

      Delete
    4. Now I see 312 too. Sigh, maybe I'm not refreshing the page fast enough. I still think something fishy is about, because it was 312 then 311 then 312 again for me, but maybe that's because the Australian votebank has been steadily decreasing and I'm panicking.

    5. It has been weird in the past, I feel you. I'll keep an eye on it.

  12. I rather see the avatars fleshed out, I get the general idea of them but I'd like to see them in more detail. Or the other Titan realms......
