Going Forth in Style

Question: Hello, I have a question for Anne! I enjoyed your unveiling of the Mesoamerican codices. I am interested to know if you know of anyone doing Egyptian reproductions? Thank you for your time.

You know, I actually don't know of anywhere to get a full reproduction of, say, the Ani Papyrus from the Book of Going Forth by Day, and that's a damn shame. I'm sure someone out there probably does painting reproductions in a similar style, but unfortunately I don't know who they are or how to find them. Curses!

However, a little internet sleuthing has come up with this site, which offers hand-painted papyrus reproductions of famous ancient Egyptian paintings. They're reasonably priced, the site claims they are hand-painted on real papyrus, and some of them are pretty gorgeous. Check it out - Akhenaten worshiping with the many arms of Aten coming down from the heavens!

EDIT: Welp, looks like that image doesn't work. But you can go to the site and look instead!

So those look super neat. If you're looking for the whole Book of Going Forth by Day, I couldn't rustle up a papyrus reproduction, but there are several book reproductions of the whole thing, and you can easily snag one from most major online booksellers like Amazon or B&N.
