Question: What's the range of the Flick Knack?

Heh, another one where I went back to look and was like, "Oh, yeah, they're right, it doesn't say. Huh. Yup."

Flick's range is your unobscured sightline, the same as any other ranged attack but without the pesky constraints of the range on a weapon since you don't have to worry about getting an object's architecture to accommodate your ridiculous desire to hit someone who is way too far away. That means that your target needs to be within your perceptive range (any further away, and they're too fuzzy to aim properly) and that there can't be anything in the way that prevents you from seeing them (so if they're underground, for example, or inside a building and not standing in front of a window, no dice).

But inside those particulars, not even the sky is the limit. For those with truly great Epic Perception and Flick, it is entirely possible to punch a guy in Seattle while you are on the moon.

The humans die

I pick up a skyscraper and use it as a club.  I have titanium tools so the building does not crumble.  Do the people inside get hurt or are they also protected?  

Im afraid those people are hella dead.  They're all inside bouncing against those titanium tool fueled walls.  Although I dont normally allow unseen shields to protect against  that type of damage, I might allow it in that particular instance if you really wanted to save those people.  Or you could aegis all the people.

But since you probably arent gonna bother doing those things when you need a sweet skyscraper weapon....they're probably gonna die.  I hope you dont have valor or order.  

Stronger Than Strong

Question: Who would win in an arm-wrestling match between Amaterasu and Thor?

Probably nobody. Thor'd just want to sleep with her, and then it would be all shouting and terrible political repercussions.

However, in most straight-up contests of skill, Thor will usually win thanks to having an incredibly potent relic, the belt Megingjord, which is said in Norse myth to double his strength while he's wearing it. (Storytellers, use your judgment on what this actually does mechanically - I don't know what "double Ultimate Strength" would look like, but it sounds unnecessary.) Other gods with Ultimate Strength will probably not be able to beat him in an even match unless they also have a relic boosting their Strength; it's one of those cases where a god has specialized into something with relics in order to have a little bit of a leg up on everyone else.

But that's okay, because all Amaterasu or anyone else really has to do is hide behind a potted plant or something, and Thor's critical Perception botching will render her completely invisible until he gets bored and wanders off.

Straight to the Moon!

Question: Would you allow a stunt to let a Scion use Knockback Attack on a ranged weapon?

Yes! But only if the ranged weapon in question uses Strength as its damaging stat. Knockback Attack is a power that represents a Scion being so strong that when he strikes enemies, he can hurl them across the battlefield; as long as he's still using a physical attack that utilizes his strength, he should be able to pull that off. Shooting an arrow, throwing a javelin, using Flick or otherwise performing a range-based Strength attack against someone can be combined with Knockback Attack whenever the Scion wishes. Awesome stunts are encouraged.

Ranged attacks that don't use the Scion's Strength, however, like guns or crossbows, cannot benefit from Knockback Attack. The force of the attack in those cases is coming from a mechanism or the Scion's uncanny aim, not anything to do with how strong he is.

Throws Like a Girl

Question: Why did you keep epic strength on Amaterasu? Other than rolling the big ass boulder that no other god could move over her cave are there any other examples of her being a bruiser that could arm wrestle Thor?

The short answer is that we haven't finished our Amatsukami rewrite, so we haven't finished finalizing changes to the Japanese gods; Amaterasu has Strength associated in the books, and we haven't done more than a cursory check-through yet. The Amatsukami are probably next on our rewrite list once we're done with our current project, though, so it should be soon.

I wouldn't rule it out entirely yet, though. In addition to boulder-moving, she's also the lady who terrified Susanoo into (temporary) submission with her angry war dance that shook the ground with the force of her stomping, so I wouldn't discount her badassery just yet. I'm not sure if it'll take the form of Strength, but we'll see what happens when we get to checking her out.
