Question: Have you dealt with PCs making high technology and/or colossi?
Colossi, no, not yet; none of them are high enough Legend to get Breath of Life yet, which is where the real colossi probably need to come from, though you could make smaller mock-ups with something like Golem or just Concept to Execution and a lot of moxy.
But we've seen plenty of technological wizardry, particularly out of Sophia Archimedes, who will never deal with other people if she can just make something to do it for her, and Alison Margaritas, who is determined to explain everything about the world of the divine through science. Sophia was big on creating replicas of relics she'd seen that were useful (relic cell phones that teleported their users, for example, or magical keys that allowed mortals access to Terrae Incognita) and, of course, of helping Hephaestus build his army of super high-tech magical tanks and turrets. Alison constructed a prophetic computer and a second Internet that fed into her security systems, although a lot of her technology was focused on reproducing boons with technological means rather than inventing anything new.
And, I mean, there were (and probably still are) definitely giant mechanical mecha in Japan, courtesy Ixion, and a giant country-spanning space defense system thanks to John Shimoda and Kane Taoka, although that's defunct now thanks to meddling from Geoff's band. A lot of super technology seems to get blown up in our games, but they keep trucking at it, bless their hearts.
And there was also the short-run Gaulish Scion Iggy Rex, who specialized in converting cars into rocket-fueled danger machines. Good times, good times.
Since Sophia's player left, we haven't had a god-level PC who was really into the super-science and magical technology aspect of the game, so we haven't seen as much of that lately except out of NPCs. Woody has been threatening to buy more Industry for quite a while now, though, so the possibility of crazy supertech warriors in the game's future is definitely still there.
