Is Anybody Out There?

Question: Hi, I sent in a question a week ago and you never answered it. Do you guys pick and choose what questions you want to answer or what?

We do our best to answer every question that rolls through the box, actually! But there are only two of us, and we only have so many hours in between day jobs, night game sessions and creative projects to devote to writing blog posts. We currently try to make sure we always get to answer two questions per day (three if one is really quick and simple!) with one vlog per week; we used to do three full posts per day, but that turned out to be just a little much to handle, so we ended up cutting back.

We try to answer all the questions we get (unless they're obviously unconstructive - "You're dumb and your site is dumb and I hope you get mugged in the parking lot" probably won't get an official response) and we generally also try to do them in the order we receive them, so if your question came in right behind six others, there'll be a few days of lag time before we get to it. We do occasionally answer questions out of order as well, either because we have a lot of questions on similar subjects and want to have a little variety, because we got a bunch that are obviously from the same person in a row and want to give someone else a turn, or because we're really excited about a subject and wanted to talk about it anyway (we like to blog for our own amusement, too!).

To give you a general idea about time frame, we have about seventeen questions in our queue waiting their turn right now. At two per day, if you sent another one in right now, it would probably be answered in a little less than a week (though possibly sooner if we need to skip around or it gets included in a vlog!). That number goes up and down depending on how many questions we have, but it'll usually be between four to six days.

We try really hard to avoid it, but once in a while a question does get lost, either because one of us accidentally deleted it or thought the other person answered it or what else have you. If it's been two weeks and you haven't heard a peep out of us about it, go ahead and resubmit it if you want to (but please don't constantly flood us with repeated questions, because John will just go on a deleting rampage and then nobody will win). We'll do better the second time!

We're sorry that we aren't the Superman and Wonder Woman of blogging, but you guys probably don't want to read nine blog posts a day anyway, so we figure it sort of works itself out. We definitely love having a wide variety of questions and topics you guys want to talk about, though, so don't ever let the slight lag time discourage you from sending new ones in.
